SOUTH VALLEY

This fabulous half-day trip to the South Valley of Cusco will take you to the most important traditional sites and towns of the South Valley. It is known for its combination of beautiful natural landscapes such as the lakes of Urcos and Huacarpay. Its stunning Incan architecture and hydraulic engineering in Tipon, pre culture – Inca of Wari in Pikillacta which highlights its typical streets and campuses that are very admirable.

The Tour of the South Valley of Cusco is considered as the new Gastronomic Route of Cusco. Welcome to this tour and outdoor excursion that offers different activities in this Tour of the Southern Valley of Cusco.

ITINERARY

We leave every day from 8:00 am to 8:30 am.

After the pickup we will go to the archaeological site of TIPON which is located about an hour from the city at an altitude of 3,500 meters. On the way we will enjoy some districts and picturesque villages of the region. You will be able to see its impressive water channels of impeccable hydraulic engineering carved in stone. You will also see a beautiful and impressive landscape. Continuing on the journey we will arrive at PIKILLAQTA (also known as the city of fleas) dating from the Pre-Inca culture the Wari who were later conquered by the Incas. It resembles a military garrison with its construction dating from 500 BC to 900 BC. Finally we will arrive at ANDAHUAYLILLAS known as the Sistine Church of America. Here we will enjoy its beautiful paintings and canvases made between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Then we will return to the city of Cusco.
