1st Day: CHINCHERO-URQUILLOS-AGUAS CALIENTES
On this day your will be picked up from your hotel at seven in the morning and we’ll move in our private van to the village of Chinchero (3,760 MASL.) We will first visit a house where we can appreciate how women typical of this region dyed wool, highlighting the natural and colorful colors typical of this place as well as other Andean towns.
Later we will go to visit the archaeological center which was one of the resting places of the leader Inca Pachacutec. The hike is through a stretch of approximately 9 km on the Inca trail. On the way you can see landscapes, waterfalls and canals. It is also an important place in the valley, as it has a microclimate conducive to planting the best corn in the Sacred Valley. There are also a conglomerate of haciendas which belonged to the most important Incas of the Empire, which were later distributed among the high command of the Spanish army. Finally, after enjoying the hike and the village of Urquillos, we meet our transportation which will await us and then head to Ollantaytambo, passing through the towns of Calca, Yucay and Urubamba. Ollantaytambo is where we will continue by train to Aguas Calientes village. Accommodation in the hotel.
